St. Cloud Regional Medical Center announces the
appointment of Kim Bassett as its chief executive officer.

Kim brings more than 22 years of practical and hospital-based
administration and nursing experience. She joined Health Management
Associates in 1990 and was named chief nursing officer at Lower Keys Medical
Center in Key West in 1995. She then served as CEO at Fishermen’s
Hospital in Marathon, Fla., for more than five years before coming to St. Cloud
in 2011. She served as the administrator over both Fishermen’s and St. Cloud
Regional for more than six months, and is now able to be fully committed to St.
Cloud.

Bassett was one of five
leaders who received the coveted title “CEO of the Year” in 2010 by Health
Management Associates.
She completed her Master’s in
Business with a specialization in Health Administration from the University of
Miami in 2003. She received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Drury University in
Springfield, Missouri in 1991. She has been an RN for 23 years and is a Florida
licensed Healthcare Risk Manager.
