ESPN and Full Sail join forces

Full Sail University announced the latest addition to its campus: the Full Sail University Sports Lab powered by ESPN. This new project – created under the guidance and direction of ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports – will allow select students the opportunity to create sports-based content and intellectual property, while also helping to develop new technologies alongside accomplished ESPN professionals.
The project-based research and development center will serve as an on-campus hub for students, faculty, and ESPN employees to produce content and technologies that can be used across ESPN's properties, including its websites, television programs, mobile applications, and more.
The opening of the Sports Lab was announced during the same week as the announcement of Full Sail’s new Sports Marketing & Media Bachelor of Science online degree program. This program, scheduled to enroll its first class in February 2011, was designed specifically to teach students how the principles of marketing and the fundamentals of content creation can be applied to the sports industry.
