Mom and Pop Business Day is March 29

Small businesses account for 70% of U.S. commerce, according to Fast Company. For advice and sympathy, the magazine recommends SCORE -- a not-for-profit partner of the Small Business Administration, which offers free counseling. Its volunteers -- mostly retired business owners -- have advised more than 8 million clients, many of them clueless.
National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day celebrates small business owners -- individuals who spend countless hours nurturing and growing their young enterprises.
